If you regularly burn candles, you will accumulate candle ends.
These can be melted down and made into new candles quite simply. However, find out a bit first, as wax can ignite if overheated! ( like chip oil ).
Using a double boiler method such as a tin inside a saucepan, is safer than direct heat.
Strain out any bits of old wax or matches by pouring through a stocking or rag.
You must use candle wick for wick - string doesn't work! Likewise crayons do not make candle dye for candles you want to burn.

For small quantities of such sundry we may be able to help if asked nicely. ;-)
are UK based mail order supplier of the whole range of candle making sundries and information. (UK 0207 602 4031).
You can also use old wax to make fire lighters by impregnating cotton or natural fibre rags.
Or wrap the rag around a cane and make a garden torch - but be careful to test all that you do for safety before exposing it to others!
